Meet Ian Macleod. Quiet and unassuming in nature. Community focused, technically minded and adventure seeking.

He grew up in Richmond Tasmania on a working farm, later studying a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Botany, Microbiology, Zoology, Environmental Science at the University of Tasmania Hobart before embarking on a long and extended career in Agriculture Research across Australia and the globe.

Ian was an early adopter of drone technology which came hand-in-hand with developing an interest in photography.

“I look to see things that are different, be they in nature, at events or in local landscapes. I enjoy capturing plant, crops, birds, insects, cars, ships, water, moon, landscapes and candid people shots.”

Ian’s background in Botany, Agriculture, country living, Jet Ski riding, and part of the organising committee of the Devonport Motor Show have coloured his images along with a variety of travel experiences around the world.

He accepts commissions for commercial, industrial, corporate and event photography. Inquiries are most welcome.
